This fully flat-opening mechanism was created in pursuit of "easy writing even with thickness." The Bible size uses 16mm diameter rings, and the mini size uses 20mm diameter rings. Because it is made from a single piece of leather, even with the thick rings, it feels lighter than you might expect—a unique feature of this design. The main body uses high-quality vegetable-tanned shoulder leather. The leather, which has been buffed to express the unevenness of an oil painting, will deepen in color with use and develop a natural shine when polished. The interior envelope pocket uses undyed white vegetable-tanned leather.
