Itoya Japanese Letter Paper, Pure Kozo Paper, 178 × 245mm (Satsusatsu)

This stationery uses pure mulberry paper from Inshu Washi in Tottori Prefecture. The ink doesn't bleed easily, and the surface is smooth, making it a pleasant writing experience whether using a pen or brush. The title, "Satsusatsu," refers to the sound or manner of the wind blowing. It's from the final line of the Noh play, Takasago: "On the final day, the wind soothes the people; on the final day, the wind of the intertwined pines extends life; the rustling sound is a source of joy." The title calligraphy is by the second-generation president, Yoshitaka Ito, and this stationery has been a beloved item since 1994.
