The crocodile-embossed series products use heavy urethane leather. Heavy urethane leather is finished using both vegetable tanning and chrome tanning processes. Vegetable tanning allows you to enjoy the natural texture of the leather, and it becomes more lustrous and develops a richer character with use, while chrome tanning provides heat resistance, flexibility, and allows for beautiful shaping. ROMEO's crocodile-embossed series is made from leather that combines the best of both processes, and each product is die-cut to beautifully showcase the characteristics of the crocodile pattern. The colors are achieved by applying a color-fastening treatment to the dye finish, and then applying heat using a method called ironing to the raised areas of the leather, resulting in a slightly deeper shade.
