Itoya Glass Pen (Ginza Station)

An original design glass pen from Ito-ya. Manufactured using the techniques of a glass product manufacturer in Aomori Prefecture with over 70 years of history. From creating the glass base in-house to shaping and coloring the barrel, and shaping and polishing the nib, every step is done by hand by skilled craftsmen. Finely crushed colored glass is applied to the glass base and stretched to create a beautiful layering of colors with depth. The design combines the colors of the Tokyo Metro that runs through Ginza Station: orange, red, and gray. Because the glass base is made in-house, the barrel can be designed in any thickness, from thin to thick. This particular glass pen features a simple shape with a slightly thicker diameter of approximately 12.5mm, chosen for its comfortable grip. A portion of the barrel is cut flat to prevent rotation.
