Chaos, confined to a page.

The world got faster, and the page stayed the same size. Everything moved onto screens, and screens never end — there's always more below the fold, another tab, another notification. Nanyaka exists for the one part of the day people still want to see the edges of: a gel pen, smooth paper, taking stock. Nothing about the week changes when you write it down. But it becomes finite.

We're picky about what's on the shelf.

43 categories, over 2,000 items, sourced and checked before they reach the shop.

We believe that good stationery isn't about price. A ¥200 pen and a ¥30,000 pen get the same description, the same layout, the same respect. We hold both to one question: does it actually work? If the cheaper one is the right answer, that's the one we recommend.

Range

43 categories, not the dozen items that usually make it West. If it's for working on paper, it's a reasonable bet we stock it.

Judgement

Every product page says what the tool is for, and what it's bad at. Nib widths, gsm, dry times — specific, not persuasive.

Working tools

Made to be used up, not kept in a drawer. We sell tools by the job they do, never the mood they suggest.
